He graduated from the Dental School of the University of Thessaloniki in 1988. During the academic year 1990-1991 he successfully attended the Informal Master’s Program of the Department of Dentistry of the University of Athens for a total duration of one year.

In 1996 he completed his doctoral thesis in the Department of Prosthodontics of the Department of Dentistry of the University of Athens, subject of Fixed Prosthodontics and was awarded a Doctorate with the grade “Excellent”.

From 1988 to 2005 he served as Research Associate and Specialist Scientist in the field of Fixed Prosthodontics at the Department of Dentistry of the University of Athens.
From the academic year 2003-2004 until the academic year 2008-2009 he served as a paid Research Associate at T.E.I. Athens, School of Welfare Health Sciences, Department of Dental Technology.

On 16/10/2009 he was appointed Assistant Professor with a three-year term at the Department of Dental Technology of the School of Health Sciences and Welfare of T.E.I. of Athens, with a subject of “Dental Morphology”.
Today, he serves as an associate professor in the Division of Dental Technology of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the School of Health & Welfare Sciences of the University of West Attica.
He has been the Head of the First Fixed Prosthodontics Division of the Dental Technology Department, TEI of Athens and Director of the Dental Technology Division at the University of West Attica.
He has written two scientific books with areas of interest in dental aesthetics and dental morphology, as well as Fixed Prosthodontics notes and dental morphology laboratory notes for the educational needs of the Dental Technology Sector. He has published a large number of scientific works in both Greek and foreign scientific journals with the subject of Dental Prosthetics, but also Dental Techniques/Dental Biomaterials. He is a member of many Greek and International Scientific Societies and a reviewer in international scientific dental journals. He also has more than 300 peer references (citation) in his research work.
