Stavros Yannikakis, Professor,

He graduated the Dental School of the University of Athens in 1988. In 1990, after successful examinations at the State Scholarships Foundation, he received a three-year scholarship for a Doctoral Thesis in the field of Prosthodontics. On March 30, 1998 he was awarded a Doctorate (Thesis). From 1990 until today, he practices the profession of dentist. Participates as an unpaid scientific collaborator in the Removable Prosthodontics activities of the Dental School of the University of Athens during the academic years 1990 to 2000. Especially during the academic years 1995-1999 participates in the clinical and laboratory practice of postgraduate students.

On 27-8-2001 he was appointed a Member of the Teaching Staff of the TEI of Athens, Department of Dental Technology, where he organizes new courses in the curriculum of the Department, such as Stomatognathic System Physiology, Occlusion, Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Implant Prosthetics. He served as the Head of the Department of Dental Technology and today he is a professor in “Removable Prosthetics and Prosthetic Implantology” in the Division of Dental Technology, Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of West Attica.

He has authored four scientific books and a number of notes with areas of interest in Complete Dentures and Implants, has more than 35 publications in peer reviewed Greek and International Dental Journals and has participated in more than 100 lectures at both Greek and International conferences. He also has more than 1300 citations in his research work.
