Bakas Thanasis

Thanasis Bakas is Associate Professor of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Western Attica, specializing in Medical Physics. He received a Master of Science in Medical Physics from the University of Surrey, U.K. in 1984 and a PhD from the Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2008. His research interests cover the following areas: a) development and evaluation of X-ray detectors, b) quality control of imaging systems, c) special constructions. He is responsible for Radiation Protection for the radiology laboratories operating in the Department.
